Steve Kushner, MS, LPC

Chief Clinical Officer

Steven obtained his Associate Degree from Montgomery County Community College and his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Temple University. After reaching his bachelor’s degree, he attended Chestnut Hill College to obtain his master’s degree in counseling and Clinical Psychology. Since 2009, Steven has served members of the recovery community through his work in the field. He became a full-time therapist in 2013 and worked as a DBT therapist in 2015. Steven has worked in community mental health, inpatient residential, outpatient and drug court. Steven brings a wealth of experience with Dialectical approach and intergeneration of the 12 step philosophy to Sobriety Solutions.

Andrew Pascal, MA, LPC, CAADC

Clinical Director
Sobriety Solutions of Pennsylvania

Andrew joins us with over a decade of experience working within various settings of the treatment continuum, as he last held the role as an Executive Director prior to joining our team. Having earned his master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Rosemont College, he’s also furthered his expertise by becoming a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor under the Pennsylvania Certification Board and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Andrew’s mission is to provide excellent client care by bolstering the clinical team’s expertise and maintaining an emphasis in providing competent client care for the individuals and their families seeking a better way of living from our program.

John Lance, LSW, LCADC, CCS

John obtained his Associate degree in Criminal Justice from Gloucester County Community College. He then earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. John holds licenses as a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. John has utilized an eclectic approach to treatment, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing informed care. John is experienced in Medication Assisted Treatment, residential, and outpatient levels of care within substance use and co-occurring populations.

Megan Drury, LSW

Megan holds a Master’s in Social Work and is working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Megan received her bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Charleston in 2018, and her master’s from West Chester University of PA in 2022. Megan began her career working with adolescents and young adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders in Philadelphia – both in IOP and inpatient levels of care. Megan is passionate about providing therapy to individuals and groups in a trauma-informed manner, meeting the client where they are at in terms of recovery and mental health. Megan utilizes components of CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing based on the needs of each individual client. Megan believes that therapy is a collaborative process and aims to empower clients to identify and harness their strengths to help themselves achieve their goals.

Bre'anna DeFalco, MS, LAC, NCC, LCADC

Bre'anna has earned an associate degree in psychology, a bachelor's degree in forensic psychology, a master's Certification in addictive behavioral theories, and a master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. Bre'anna earned her degrees from Stockton University and Capella University. Bre'anna has worked in the field for over 6 years treating clients with dual diagnoses. Bre'anna has worked with adolescents and adults within different levels of care(s) such as Inpatient, Residential, PHP, IOP, and OP. Bre'anna has experience working with clients who have drug court, parole, DCP&P, and/or other legal involvement. Bre'anna strives to build rapport and treat each individual with respect to ensure clients feel supported while working on the treatment they deserve!

Erika Perez, CADC

Primary Therapist

Erika started working in the substance abuse field in 2006 helping the Hispanic population in active addiction in her community. She is currently working towards becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the state of New Jersey. Erika recently passed the written part of the CADC test and is currently preparing to take her oral test. Erika has worked in residential/inpatient and Intensive/outpatient facilities with adults with co-occurring diagnoses who have been involved with parole, probation/PTI, DCP&P, ISP, and IDRC. Erika utilizes components of motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT, and 12-step principles with her clients. Erika is passionate about helping those in need and equipping clients with the necessary tools in order to have a successful recovery.

Joshua Burton-Prateley, M.Ed

Josh has a broad range of academic and clinical experience in mental health and substance use treatment. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from Syracuse University. Following his undergraduate experience, Josh worked as a case manager while achieving his master's of education in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Lynchburg. Josh completed his internship at a non-profit that specialized in the treatment of those recovering from substance use, and before joining Sobriety Solutions, he worked as an outpatient therapist. Josh predominately utilizes CBT in treatment; however, he draws upon solution-focused as well as humanistic orientations depending on the client’s needs. Josh has a wide variety of experience with treating co-occurring conditions and a strong foundation in mental health. Josh works to cultivate an empathetic, individualized, and effective treatment so that clients can realize their fullest potential.
